Some History On Music for the Masses

Music for the Masses was created in 2005 by Chris Brooks as a free local community event. It was his goal to provide a venue for everyone, the community and musicians alike, where they could learn from each other in a conducive environment.

For musicians, they are able to perform pieces they have been working on or pieces that they would not be able to perform otherwise. They are also able to gain constructive criticism from fellow musicians as well as from the standpoint of the audience. Music for the Masses is also a great place for musicians to meet one another and gain contacts for future collaboration.

For the community, Music for the Masses provides a free, high quality music event where we welcome everyone. We are happy to have families, children, elderly people, anyone who appreciates the arts and supporting the community. The audience is also afforded the opportunity to speak to the musicians who performed and ask any questions they might have or offer any comments on their performance.

Today, Music for the Masses endeavors to provide all of the same values as previously provided. While Music for the Masses is not affiliated with any group, the Brooks family works hard to provide this quality event free for the community. We only ask for your appreciation and support. Word of mouth publicizing as well as any comments or suggestions on how we can improve our events or advertising is very appreciated.
